Hello Everybody!  I'll start us off this week.  My yarn is "Dixieland."  73 yards super-bulky corespun from a mixed-fiber batt from Gritty Knits.  It was my first time spinning from a mixed batt and I LOVED it!!!  I will have to occasionally splurge on buying a mixed batt because it was so much fun.  The batt contained Romney, Corriedale, Merino, cultivated silk, firestar, and carder scraps.

Shi-ny!  Very pretty, Nikschaf!!

Last Saturday, I dyed 8 oz each of 3 colorways.  It was a bitter cold and very windy day outside, so I hung them out to freeze dry. Yup, it was blustery out! Considering each color was 8 oz and wool holds a lot of water.  The wind was picking up a lot of weight here.

I then spun up 3 oz of each colorway.

Individual colorways:

185 yards, sport weight, superwash.

222 yards, laceweight, superwash

Singles:

2-ply 304 yards.

So pretty, Mullerslanefarm!  I so love seeing the fiber before and after it's spun.  Your yarns have a lovely sheen to them!

Nik, I love seeing people try new things. This is no exception, beautiful! How fun for you.

MLF, What kind of wool is all of this?  It is all lovely. What are you going to do with it? Will we be seeing anything on the FO post?

The outside of the bag of fiber said is was from Upper Canadian Village, but there was a paper inside the bag that said it is superwash.  I need to knit a sample and see if it fulls up to determine if it is superwash or not.

Don't know what I might make from them ... they haven't told me what they want to be so right now they all are for sale.
