I knit these two for a personal swap.

The yellow one was knit with some yarn that I dyed a long time ago when I was in a yellow mood.

This one upsets me quite a bit...I knit it to the pattern but it came out rather small.  I knew it looked small as I was binding off but I thought maybe it would block out more.  Oh well..

They are both beautiful. I love the color of the yellow one. Gorgeous!! I've actually been wanting a small lace scarf lately so I think the size of the second one is nice.

They're all mine!!!! I didn't realize you dyed the yellow one yourself - it is so pretty! I love it so much. I really dont have a lot of yellow in my wardrobe so it offsets whatever I'm wearing beautifully. The purple one is a bit small but ties up great a a kerchief  Smiley I love the patterning on both. I wish I could knit but I'm glad I have great friends that will knit for crafts haha.

They came out beautiful, did you have to block the yellow one? I've been tempted to make something like this, but I've never blocked my knitting before as I'm a wee bit daunted by the task.

Yea I blocked it...don't be scared of blocking!  I just laid a towel out on the basement floor (the cats can't go in the basement Smiley) and use those T-Pins (you can get them at walmart for super cheap).  Just wet it really good and then just stretch it out how you want it on the towel and pin it down (into the towel and probably into the carpet a bit too).  I then went back a few more times to stretch it out a bit more.

sarahj2001, the yellow one is gorgeous!
Is that your pattern, or would you mind sharing which pattern you used (because I might need to start another knitting WIP Grin)?

Beautiful! I have been itching to make a Holden shawlette for a while now, yours is great! The second one is lovely and the color is gorgeous, I'm a sucker for plum! I wonder if the pattern-writer intended to write it as a mirrored shawl, as it looks like it would work as half of one? Either way, it makes a lovely scarflette!

I would love to do a personal swap for stuff for my lonely, empty walls!

Thank you for providing the link to the yellow shawl's pattern - now I just have to get some appropriate yarn.
