I think I am going to have to make a whole set of woodland friends to go with this guy. He was the first felted thing I made outside of balls. I just made him a couple weeks ago, but I feel like my skill level has already improved, so I may soon have an army of foxes to get even better. I used three shades of orange to make his coat, but it is kinda difficult to tell from these photos...

OMG!!!!  That is so freaking adorable!!!!  I so want to come over and snatch him up and keep him with me always in my purse!  He is too cute!!!  I'm gonna have to pin this, for sure!  He looks so sweet and curious!

It's just needle felted. I felted for a really long time and with lots of thin layers of different colors.
