My husband has been bugging me for months to make him a shirt! Always saying I'm making everyone else stuff but him. Well, it is true lately, but he does own A LOT of stenciled shirts that I've made, but only one with freezer paper stenciling. Well, now he has TWO! Look out!
He found an image, probably off the cheezburger app on his iphone, and declared he must have it on a shirt! I don't know why I resisted for so long, since it was such a simple and whimsical shirt to do. Took hardly any time at all!
Here is the finished project:
Silly shooty rainbow! Again, I used the freezer paper stenciling method and fabric paint, and used one of those triangle sponges that you use to apply makeup to dab on the paint.

Here is the first stencil ironed on, and then with the white fabric paint dabbed on.
Here's what it looks like without the stencil on. And then some of the rainbow. I did the red and the purple on one stencil first, then the blue and yellow on another stencil.
The last stencil had the orange and blue on it. Then with a fine tip paint brush, I added the black lines by hand and made the division between the white section more noticeable. I do it this way, instead of making a stencil for it, because I usually have problems with the layers bleeding after there is already a layer of paint on, especially when its such a thin line. It comes out cleaner this way.
And then right before I was leaving for work, the light was coming through the blinds perfectly! The picture my husband sent me also had light on the image like this, so I had to snap some pictures of it.
