Knitted and felted a ukulele case for my daughter from this pile of flesh: knitty.com/ISSUEss11/PATThanahou.php I forgot to get a before picture--the thing was huge! I used 7 skeins of Lambs Pride bulky yarn.

I have decided that felting is not my thing after this one--using $70 worth of yarn to make something that ends up so small is hard to do! That, and my washroom smelled like a wet dog all weekend. But, it does look pretty cool when it's all done. It's like magic! Smiley

Great colors and something that will last a lifetime!  $70 spent to last a lifetime isn't really much in the big picture!  Your daughter will treasure this and maybe her son or daughter after her!  Nice work!

This is beautiful! I got a ukulele for my birthday- and I would eat to try something like this.

Did you line the inside with anything?

No, it's not lined.  Once it's felted it's nice and soft.  I would suggest a strip of velcro for the opening  or a button.  We've noticed it comes open when we don't want it to...
