Knitted and felted a ukulele case for my daughter from this pattern: knitty.com/ISSUEss11/PATThanahou.php I forgot to get a before picture--the thing was huge! I used 7 skeins of Lambs Pride bulky yarn.

I have decided that felting is not my thing after this one--using $70 worth of yarn to make something that ends up so small is hard to do! That, and my washroom smelled like a wet dog all weekend. But, it does look pretty cool when it's all done. It's like magic! Smiley

That is awesome! I love your colors and everything about it. I've never tried felting but always new I'd be really bad at it. You did an amazing job.

Great colors and something that will last a lifetime!  $70 spent to last a lifetime isn't really much in the big picture!  Your daughter will treasure this and maybe her son or daughter after her!  Nice work!

This is beautiful! I got a ukulele for my birthday- and I would love to try something like this.

Did you line the inside with anything?

No, it's not lined.  Once it's felted it's nice and soft.  I would suggest a strip of velcro for the opening  or a button.  We've noticed it comes open when we don't want it to...
