I got the best surprise from rlynn today! I just started a new grown-up job a few days ago, so I'm learning a bunch of new stuff, plus still working at my old job. I'm exhausted and stressed, and this picked my day right up!

isn't the packaging so pretty?

it's an adipose!

quick bit of background: the adipose are from Doctor Who. Adipose are aliens made from fat cells. In the first episode of the fourth series (the new ones), an entire company called Adipose Industries was distributing diet pills. Their tagline was, "the fat just walks away!" (hehe) What happened was, the pills were ingested by a human, which baby adipose cells. they grew by feeding off the fat in the human body, and then separating as baby adipose in the middle of the night, then walked away to a nursery ship waiting to carry them home.

I like to think of this one as a grown Adipose...

and these little stress guys as babies!

a more permanent home next to my psychic container and TARDIS mug.

Thanks sooooooooooo much!

I received from zzdia a number of days ago and I asked her to post pictures if she had any as I knew it would be awhile before I could get the item ready for pictures.  Well, she didn't take any before she sent and I had 'good intentions' of getting the item ready but I know now it will be awhile before I get to it.  Have I confused you all yet??

She made me a beautiful swan doily (I still can't believe she picked to make it) and I'd love to show you pictures of the one she sent but I know it will be awhile before I get it blocked.  SO, if you would be so kind as to click on this link http://megan.cc/Swan/ and then click on the first page on the left, you will see a picture from the pattern she used.
Mine is basically the same and while I wish I could show you it, at least you can see one and know how much time went in to this claim.

Thanks zzdia!!

I received from rlynn today. I was having such a crappy day and then I opened my mailbox and opened an envelope to find 2 paper/fabric bookmarks, an owl bookmark and a teapot needle case. Thank you very much, I love everything!

Funny, I don't remember being absentminded...

I need a skein (two would be great) of Knit Picks Gloss Bare sock weight to finish a shawl.

I received TWO amazing packages this week!

The first is from jexxican Smiley She sent me over 400 yards of handspun yarn! IT'S SO AWESOME! The colors are perfect for me!

Thank you so much! I can't wait to stitch somethin' up with it Grin

The second is from rlynn Smiley She embroidered a darling hooplah with birds! The fabric is just perfect!

She also sent a Jar of Whimsies! Because I'm a total OCD freak, I just HAD to organize everything out into piles as soon as I opened it, so prepare for lots of pics Smiley

Thank you so much! Grin

Woohoo!  I'm glad my items have been well received.  I FINALLY finished smashu's owls last night.  Geesh...took me long enough.  Hoping to ship those out tomorrow since I have an OWS package due out tomorrow.  Make up bag and skirt are officially in the cue to be made.  Also, please check the signup thread and make sure I have it up to date.  Life has been a bit busy since the school term is about to end.  PM me if I haven't updated something that needs updating.  Sorry folks, I try to be on top of it but life got ahead of me these past few weeks.

Teapot needle case is too cute! We can all use more needle cases, no?

Ma Rut, I love your OCD jar sharing. The sea glass is what caught my eye most, too!
I'm glad my handspun was well received. That darker stuff was hard to let go. It wasn't just spun, though. Lots of love in there, hope it went to the right home, ya hear me Ma Rut?  Wink

OGD, are you saying you crochet? Because crochet is just fancily knotted yarn. Cheesy
