Yup, prediction was true.  Now we have partners and my mind is a complete blank and I'm totally panicking.  Oh my goodness what was I thinking I'm a terrible artist I can't do this I can't... *smack*  Pull yourself together, you!  You can do it!  Clipart was created for a reason!  Thing cut-out magazine bits.  Think altered journal style.  Think... beaded bookmarks!  Or ribbon.  Or cross stitch.  You can do this.  You can do this.  Deep breath.

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!

(it's been a long day, I'm a little.... um. yeah.)

ROFL
I was just looking at my group of 5 and thinking the very same things! "I can't draw.  My painting skills are...mediocre at best.  And book marks really can't be 3D...What were you thinking???"

So glad I'm not the only one... Tongue

Me too!  I had so many ideas, but I had to wait to see what my partners liked, and NOW all I can think of is cutting a piece of paper and laminating it with contact paper!  haha  (just kidding... I promise I'll be more creative than that!)

Has anyone used a Purple Cow hot/cold laminator? They're on sale for $19.95 at A.C.Moore this week and I was thinking of buying one (just in time for this swap  Grin). I noticed that a few people have laminators and was wondering what kind you have...

I hadn't heard of it either - I have this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000F0DXLS/ref=oh_o02_s01_i00_details
that I bought primarily because it does up to 12 inches, so that I can do my scrapbook pages (when I actually finish it.  10 years after I graduated HS. *sigh*)

I read some reviews on Amazon for a few Purple Cows ones I found, and it seems like a good brand - just the normal complaints and advice - you have to wait for it to warm up, make sure you have the right pouches, etc.  Just make sure you're okay with the maximum size that it can laminate, and some advice from me: it seems wasteful, but it really is best to only laminate one thing per sleeve.

Okay, I just finished copying & pasting all of my partner information onto a Word document, making all pertinent information bold... I have the worst memory and forget anything I read on a computer screen as soon as I turn my face away, but if I can see it on paper, I retain the information longer- does anyone else have this problem?
Anyway, the point of all that is that I'm ready to get this swap started!!!
