I'm looking forward to partners soon! I took a pic of all of the ATC's I've received from jillybeans. I pretty much squee with joy whenever I see an envelope from her in the mailbox.

I don't draw very much myself, and I will be happy with whatever kind of bookmarks are out there. I love variety!

Paper roses are WAY better than real ones. They can last forever, or until they get wet. LOL! For my wedding I did wooden roses. So much cheaper and almost everyone still has them and has used them in some sort of decorating around their house.  Grin

I didn't realize how many letters and numbers you did Jillybeans! Your cards always ROCK! Wink

I do have a question for the group at large though. I know there are several of you who just want one partner, but I was wondering if I put you guys into a group of 5, where four of you want 1 partner and one of you wants 5, and the four of you would send to the one that wants 5, and that person sends one to each of you? Would that be alright? Did it even make sense? LoL.

Makes sense to me, basically if you think about it you are still going to send/receive from the same partner but your other partner is going to be sending more bookmarks than you?

Would it be cheating if I used some of my fine graphic designing skills in adobe illustrator to create parts of this bookmark? I think it would be nice to send a pretty typographic bookmark and paint the rest of it.
I've never really done it for a swap before and don't really know how people feel about it, it's about half craft and half computer based if that makes sense?

mouseaethekitty, that sounds great. It's all art, not cheating at all!

To me it's just like saying color pencils vs. acrylics. It's all tools for art. Sounds great to me!

I agree!  I'd be up for whatever is needed!

Aww, thanks Brackish!  I apparently do claim you a lot for numbers and letters.  ^_^  hehe  You haven't gotten a watercolor one from me, it looks like.  I will have to remember that.

From my point of view (a one bookmark person) a group of 5 along the lines suggested sounds fine. It works out fine from the numerical point of view.

I'm so glad I only signed up for one bookmark now: for the other swap I'm in I'm trying to learn a couple of new crafts at the same time: it's taking a while and an awful lot of concentration.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm reading all of your replies to the questions and I keep thinking "Ooh, I totally have _____________ that would look awesome for a ______________ for ____________"

To be honest though, I haven't put much thought into partnering just yet. Until now I've been working on my old laptop with a busted screen on the TV, which is not only awkward, but I have to try to limit my time on it to not annoy the husband, but we went and got a shiny new laptop last night, so I'll get some initial partnering done tonight, and figure out who goes to me and who goes to our lovely co-organizer Cheesy

I think that is a genius way of dealing with uneven numbers in our grouping Sara!  I would have never thought of it!
