I've just finished making loads of these...

They're just a couple of rounds of crochet with some ears added (I found a pattern online that helped me work out how to do the ears, but I can't find the link now...basically you finish the 2nd round, do a slip stitch, do 1 dc+2chs+1dc into the next st, slp st around 3 or 4 more sts, then repeat the 1dc+2chs+1dc and finish off)

Then I added vintage fabric tummies using bondaweb iron on sticky stuff, and hand sewed eyes and a beak on each.  They're lined with felt on the back too!

I love all of those. The use of the vintage fabric is awesome too. I may have to try this.

SO cute! I have a huge owl-fiend of a friend and these would make a perfect art piece for her, or even make an afghan out of these owls.

Possibilities are endless! Fluffy owls with velvet fabric scraps, ooooh!

The little guys are so cute!  They'd look cute on a backpack or messenger bag too!

an owl afghan would be immense!  especially if you made it from chunky yarn so you wouldn't need to make so many!
