Your beautiful yarns got me going -- First I made some new leaders for my bobbins.  Then, since  I had a bobbin full of a multicolored single, I started chain plying yesterday.  I will finish it today and get a pic posted.  My next goal is to spin an even single -- on the thin side.  I'm thinking a 2 ply yarn.  Goal - yarn for warm winter gloves.

Great Goal A2K.  very do-able.

So... The husband has decided we ought to go camping.  it's rather difficult to spin everyday while you are worrid about your kids running away into the bush lol  I'll try though!

Have fun camping Belladune!  Sounds fun.

Here my last 2 days pictures:

Day 5 - still needs the twist set and all that...but I just wanted to get a picture.   This navajo plying is the way to to!  I love the look of it.

Day 6 - not much today...I carded this batt with my handcarders since one of you said that's possible...I just wanted to use up all my leftover scraps. I wanted to navajo ply it (since that's my new favorite thing) but I realized half the batt is more red so I guess I'll just ply it the regular way so the colors are even.

Those are lovely Sarah!

This one is my last spin for a few days.  I screwed up my wrist pouring water from a 5 gallon jug.  It took me about 45 minutes to spin this, and my hand and wrist were aching all day afterwards.  Heck, they hurt this morning too.. I've made an appointment to see a Doctor on thursday.  I'm going to try not to use my hand much until then.
I know I've heard people don't like hemp, but I love this stuff.  I can't wait to get more!

Hope your hand is better soon, Bella!  I love that bamboo and hemp single!  I am out of town visiting my favorite kids.  Before I left home, I was spinning some nylon.  Q

My hand is finally feeling much better.  Still achy if I use it to much, but I can get a good solid hour of spinning in, especially if I pay attention to how I hold my wrist.
This is an accidental sample.  I noticed (a bit into the spinning) that I was going the same direction as my core was overspun... Oops!  So I pulled the little bit into an andean bal, and plied it upon itself at a 70ish degree angle.

I like it so much, i'm going to do it all that way.  here's a during the corespin pic.

Sarah, Wow! Go you! That's a lot of yarn. I like the 1st and the 3rd and the 4th. OK, OK, they're all great! The 4th is a very traditional Halloween colorway. Very nicely done.

Bella, don't you love it when you mess up and it turns out awesome? That stuff's rad! I'm glad you're feeling better. You make awesome stuff and it is sad when you are out of commission.
