I might, too.  It all depends on how my first spinning experiment comes out!

This might be something I'd be interested in, except I don't have cable and I'm not really all that interested in the Tour de France.  But encouragement is never a bad thing, especially since I'm still new to spinning.

You don't necessarily neeeeeeed to watch the Tour, as I understand it.  But there might be conversation surrounding it.  You can keep up on the goings on that way, if that part of it interested you.

I'll post a link to the team thread on the TdF group on Rav once I set one up.  It's a little early yet to form a team, but I figured I'd see ahead of time who was interested!

I won't be watching the race on TV, but I'm still going to participate on TdF teams.

Bella, The Homesteading Today TdF team was approved for a new TdF group on Rav.  It's never too early!!!

How late can someone join up? We may be moving out of state soon. Still in limbo as to whether hubby has a job offer or not. If I join up, it might not be until the beginning of June, at the earliest.

Well, that's perfect, because the Tour doesn't truely start until the 28th of June (or something like that)

My plans are to come up with a few practice "challenges",  just to get us ready for spinning everyday.  And by no means do you have to spin everyday.  It's for fun really, and a personal challenge.  I'm thinking "practice spin challenges" will start after easter.  Things like how many yards can you get in 10 minutes (I know I can get about 10 yards of singles) Lace challenges, chunky yarn challenge, etc.  Things to try, to get outside your box (if you have one Wink )

Okay Folks, although they aren't ready for team threads on Rav, I'm still posting a spin 'challenge' here.  It's never to early to start training!

This weeks Challenge:

How many yards can you spin in 10 minutes?  Can you increase it?  Do you want to increase it?  Some time over the next week, grab a spare bobbin and test this out.  Practice with different weights of yarn.  Do you spin more lace in 10 minutes? or more bulky?
Also lets think about our personal goals too this week!

I will post these challenges/practices in the first post, for easy refrence and finding.

Go team Craftster!
