What makes day and night alike? Crafting!

When I took my first ceramic's class last semester at college the minute I touched the raw clay I knew that it would become my favorite medium! It has become a growing passion that I enjoy!
During the duration of the class I made many projects but here is my coil vase project!

The black spikes on the vase were inspired by the work of Heather Knight http://www.heatherknightceramics.com/. She makes amaing sea urchin bowls, and they really inspire(d) me. I have a special thing for the ocean!

I used high fire on the piece as to make it water tight!

More projects to come. Hope you have enjoyed!

I like that very much. It too reminds me of the ocean, I can see seahorses in it.

Beautiful! I really love the colours and the details of this vase. Hope to see more ceramics from you in the future. There is definitely a lot of potential. Smiley
