I made a dress for my daughter each day this weekend - sewing bliss!  Grin  We're going on holidays soon, so I wanted to give her a couple of nice summer dresses to wear while we're there...

This is the dress I made on Saturday - it's the Oliver + S Popover Sundress, and it's a free download on oliver + s website.

I wanted to make this dress a little big, because I know she'll hit a growth spurt before summer, so I wanted to make sure it would still fit!!  In actuality, it'll probably fit her until she's 12 - it's quite a bit bigger than I thought it would be!!

It's a great pattern, and one I will definitely be using again - but next time I think I'll size it down a bit...  Wink

That's really cute!  The best thing about these new patterns for girls is that if they grow in height, the dresses can be made into tops, worn with tights or pants.  Great job Grin

Hi, this print on this fabric is awesome and the black bias tape you have used is perfect! I agree that this top can go with a pair of leggings, jeans when the child grows taller!
