Just before Christmas I was commissioned to make set of blackwork cuffs, collar and partlet embroidery for a Catherine of Aragon outfit.  Being the queen it was made for we decided on a pomegrante blackwork pattern (from the Blackwork Archives) for the cuffs and collar.   It is all made from linen and stitched with silk embroidery thread.

The cuffs are 33cm long and took about 3 weeks to stitch.

(They were made up into cuffs by the lady who commissioned them)

And the collar -

I stitched the collar and the blackwork for the partllet in a week!!

Was a lot of frantic stitching but definitely worth it as I love how it all came out Smiley  V x

It's an awesome website with loads of brilliant blackwork patterns.  Heres the link for you - http://blackworkarchives.com/  Definitely worth checking out Smiley

Just received this!  Here's a pic of the finished embroidery with the complete outift!

(The outfit was made by Prior Attire and is not my work)
