For this ongoing hoopla swap, I picked Hispanic Culture as my theme. I personally have an obsession with the amazing art of the Huichol culture, which have been making these amazing paintings with yarn and beads for many years. So I decided to do a tribute to that art in an embroidery hoop.  I found a bead sculpture and used that for my inspiration.  I did the entire thing in French knots save for a black outline around the edge.  I chose french knots because I thought they would be the most like beads.

Here's a close up.

More fun pictures of this wee horsy on my blog if you are still curious!

This is amazing (as all of your stuff is), and must have taken hours! However,  I bet you're an ace at French knots and can probably make them blindfolded Smiley

Wow Shocked!. All of those french knots must have taken forever, but they do make a very effective bead substitute and give the horse so much texture.

This seems like a torturous version of pointillism. Extreme Pointillism... You are amazing. I can't imagine how much patience this took.
