Kindle Cover

I have been totally in love with my new Kindle since I received it on Christmas day.  Most of my good books were still residing at my parents house, not with me, so it had been a while since I had done lots of reading.  Now I find it hard to put the Kindle down!! Anyway, I'd been looking for a case for it for a while and after realising quite how expensive they seemed to be online thought the best option was of course to make one

I found the awesome 'book stack' pattern on Urban Threads, and the 'I love books' pattern on the back was one that turned up on a google search and I thought was pretty appropriate!  The embroidered patches are made from cotton and linen.  The tiiiiiiiiny satin stitch on the book stack pattern was an absolute pain, but so pleased with how it turned out.  The cover itself is made from an outer of blacky/navy felt and lined with red felt.  It is all blanket stitched together and has 3 press studs to close the flap and keep my Kindle safe and cosy.
