This didn't turn out at all like I was hoping, but it was my first time and I learned some things to correct next time

I orginially wanted red, yellow and green, but the yellow ended up being a weird pinkish...

I picked up some candles from the dollar store and broke them up with a knife (which is now dedicated to working with wax and not eating with..) saving the wicks to use later.

All crushed up! And these are all the materials I used. Glass jar (also purchased at dollar store), fragrance oil, and of course the wax.

I took three plastic coke bottles and cut the tops off and seperated the wax into them.

Next, I boiled a big pot of water and held the bottles in there till all the wax had melted. Be careful, it gets hot. Eventually I had to use an oven mit to hold them in there.

Careful. It's hot.

Then, i poured the first layer in with the wick in the middle. As you can see in the picture, my first pour wasn't perfect so I had to scrape that part off before continuing with the next layer. Then, I set the jar in the freezer to harden. It was difficult waiting and trying to be patient while it hardened, but make sure it is completley or the layers and colors will run together.

Again, not at all how I wanted it to turn out but it was fun
