I can't stop swapping! I think I have a problem.

Everything is so pretty, I almost don't want to post now.

This is my first spin, other than the maybe 30 yards that I did a few weeks ago.  It's a bit thick and thin, but some of the thin spots are much thinner than I wanted them.  I'm not sure if I want to keep spinning it like this, or if I want to use the rest of the beautiful Falkland that I ordered from http://cosymakes.com/.  Any suggestions?

Beautiful first spin!  I say keep going.  If you ply it on itself, it will be really fun!

I have something to contribute!

My second go at spinning:

Roving from Arachne Fiber Arts. Plied with Knit Picks' "Stroll Sport"; 75% superwash merino wool, 25% nylon; blue topaz.  I still haven't set it but wanted to post a photo anyway.

I've been working my drop spindle. Cheesy

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7161/6787561085_bc4ffc9710_b.jpg

undyed bamboo and "black diamond" carbonized bamboo spun slightly thick and thin and then plied. the combination of the silky bamboo and the matte carbonized bamboo creates a soft satiny yarn.

beautiful additions!
Shannin, how did you like the bamboo?  I personally hate it (so far, I've only played with it once of twice)  I think I would prefer it in a blend.

Welcome to the new spinners!  Great yarns everyone!  I love that bulky 2-ply bamboo.  I only spun bamboo once, and it was so slippery it drove me crazy!  I also really love seeing all the dyed locks -- so much potential for spinning fun!

I did spin last week but never took a pic.  At least I'll have something for this Fiber Friday!

I liked it! It was my first time spinning bamboo... I usually spin merino. It's definitely a fiber you have to spin from the fold. The carbonized bamboo is much easier to spin... and it feels amazing to spin, haha.

Very pretty, I like the red and grey one.

I don't have anything finished this week, instead I have 3 different singles that I haven't figured out how to complete.  Maybe you guys will have some ideas.

This one might just end up staying like this.  I was thinking about plying it with another color, but nothing looks right yet

I love plying with thread personally ... also adding beads to the thread or using sparkly thread is always a good option too
