I have a TON of old, cheap arylic yarn (like from the 70's that someone gave me), really this stuff is so weird and plasticy feeling, you really cant make anything wearable from it. But it works great for useful items like this ipad sleeve:



I love the colors of this old yarn, it also has a really nice stretch to it, makes for great coozies of all types. (I have also made some can coozies and lighter covers, no pics, but I will make some more and take pics)

I absolutely love those colors and love the way you did the stripes. I think it's very cool that they aren't perfectly symetrical. I want one for my mac book!!!
