I am new to embroidery to this was a learning experience!  My first long and short stitch, and I'd improved by the end, so that was nice Smiley.  It was pretty fun!  I made it from a pattern in doodle stitching by Aimee Ray, but I completely changed the eyes (from human to cat's eyes).  I made it for my sister.

And BAM, macro shot!  (Questionable idea considering my stitches could use some work... but I just can't resist macro shots)

And here is my sister trying to look sultry or something hahaha, well she liked it so I'm happy!

Next time I would make it a little bigger vertically and make the ribbon ties a bit longer.  Also make the seams a bit less well... lumpy looking lol!
Umm, I think I used 6 strands for the grey backstitch around the edges and 3 strands for everything else  Smiley
