I made this guy a little while ago and wanted to share him with you.  He's not perfect but that's one of the things I like about it, which is really weird for me cuz I'm usually a bit nit picky.  I'm pretty happy with how he turned out and was so happy to finally use my 3D skull pan Grin Can't wait for Day of the Dead to make another.

love it! the flowers on the back were a really good idea of how to use that space (and the tasche is wonderful, but that goes without saying!)

That is the coolest thing ever! I would love to have more details about how you made it.

Thanks for the sweet comments ladies Grin

Kittykill,
First I made the cake with Wilton's 3D skull pan, I trimmed the 2 pieces until they fit together nicely then glued them together with espresso flavoured icing.
Then I covered it with white fondant, careful to keep the face as smooth as possible and pushed all the ugly folds towards the back.  I found that this cake is really hard to cover perfectly and that's what last minute flower bombing is for Wink
Then I went to town with royal icing, icing gel, fondant markers and silver dragees, I used black fondant for the eyes, eyebrows and cut out a mustache with my new mustache cookie cutter.  Then I cut out lots of flowers to hide the ugliness in the back.
It was really easy because the pan does most of the work for you.
