They look so cute on your tree!  Thanks for pointing people to a helpful site...I know you always work so hard tweaking your own pattern...such fantastic work and details...

I hope others will experiment and try making their own hats...it looks like a fun project to challenge oneself!

I haven't done one with googles yet but I might yet, as I am planning on making a whole heap of steampunk ornaments this year

Lovely. I read the link you posted. I would prefer to do mine in cardboard like yours. Can you offer any help regarding bending the cardboard brim to shape? Is there a trick to covering the brim with fabric so the edge does not look wonky?Thanks.
