Hi all!
I just completed a new gown for the Red Dress Fashion show at my college to benefit World Aids Day. The show was a smash and everyone did really well!
I made this gown just for the show.
The bulk of the work went into the big beaded motif in the center panel, it's made up of lots of bugle and seed beads in a couple of different colors. I had a really fun time with it since it was the first time I used different colors in a beaded motif. The rest of the gown was pretty straight forward except I needed so much of the chiffon that I had to buy out three JoAnn'ss worth of their stock and one ended up a slightly different dye lot! Grrr!

Anyway, onto the pictures!

And a closeup of the beading!

Thanks for looking!

Can you come home with me and make all my clothes?  Please?

I love everything about this gown - the outfit, the silhouette, the lovely way the chiffon pools on the floor...and that beading!  I can't imagine how long this took you.  If I had this dress I'd become that crazy woman who goes everywhere around town in a ballgown.

This is absolutely beautiful, from the detail work you have in the motif to the perfect way the dress falls and I also love the color. Very very well done!
