I have been meaning to do this project for over a year, but never got around to it...

Then I started participating in the 2012 DeStash-Along, and that inspired me to do it!

The purse is made from 5 upholstery samples and two drapery remnants. Everything was from my stash except the clasps that are attached to the straps. The strap length is adjustable, depending upon whether you attach 4 lengths of chain.

One of the inside pockets is just the right size for my I-phone!  Cheesy

Really great. I am totally jealous of your samples and remnants. So pretty and they go together so well. I especially love the circle fabric on the side.

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.

Nicely done!  Love the colors.  Looks very professional!

Thanks much! Two of the upholstery samples (front and back) were from the same company and the same "collection" so they were made to coordinate with one another. As for the others... I think there are just certain colors that I am drawn to, on remnants-and-samples tables!

I wish I had noticed that the bound edges of the front upholstery sample did not line up correctly with the geometric pattern -- the purse is ever-so-slightly wonky because I cut on the horizontal lines, but the vertical wasn't quite straight. Embarrassed

Beautiful and stylish. I love how all the fabrics are coordinating, but not matchy matchy.
