So glad you like the rug I made for you, pearljam!  But oopsy: you switched the "authorship" of your rugs: mine is the fabric one, so I'm gonna say the crocheted one with the cool swirl must be from MosFatal....

See -- I has pitchas 'n everything:

I received from canamharris today!!!!! It was SO worth the wait (Canada to US mailing!) I love it. It's so me!!!
I feel like I got double the mug rug Smiley Thank you so much canamharris!!!

YEY!!! You did get a double mug rug! I couldn't decide how I wanted to do the back so technically I embroidered that part. (only because I sewed the owl and cirlces first!) I like doing double sided projects! That way you can get use out of it even when 1 side is dirty! (hehehehe)
The owl doubles as a spoon pocket if needed. I'm about to make a similar one for my friend because she saw me working on it and kept reminding me her bday is coming and she loves owls too! I'm glad it finally made its way to you!

I received from my awesome partner Sewmess just the other day and my partner overdid herself. I freaking love my mug rug. For all Doctor Who fans, prepare to be jealous.

Here's the front.

Here's the back

And here's a closeup of the super sweet TARDIS

Her stitching is amazing. I am so jealous of her stitching skills. Thanks so much Sewmess!! There is nothing messy about your sewing.

Thanks, GiddyUpMunky!  The name refers to the mess I make when I sew: sew leads to mess kind of thing.

To be perfectly honest, I'm pretty impressed with how it came out myself.  I tried a couple of new techniques and that can always be nerve wracking.

And (amazingly) it all came from my stash.

Glad you like it. Grin

I meant to post last night, but work was a little. . .dramatic.  SOOOO I now present a most awesome rug featuring. . .METALICAR!!

(For those of you unfamiliar with the TV show, Supernatural, the "third lead" is the main characters' car.  It's a classic Impala and basically helped save the world at the end of season 4 (I think it was 4))

I love the basic black and white. My husband instantly identified Metalica, so I think the 'try' worked, GiddyUpMunky!

Then I turned it over and suddenly was in Buffy-land.  I mean it, everytime I see this I start mentally singing "It Might Be Bunnies"

OH MY GOSH, GiddyUpMunky!  you may be impressed with my sewing stitches, but your embroidery is fantastic!  I haven't worked up the nerve to try blackwork so I am very impressed!

Thanks so much!!

So glad you like it Sewmess. I too, was singing It Might Be Bunnies while making this. I don't even know what backstitching is, so I'm glad I did it well. Smiley I'm glad the Metallicar is easily identifiable. Love SPN. I <3 Dean Winchester.
