So I came across this image when drooling over pinup dresses that I wanted:

http://ny-image2.etsy.com/il_fullxfull.33563374.jpg

I had recently gotten some red polka dot fabric from the thrift store so I decided to make my own version of it. To get the basic shape I used Lamby's dress tutorial found here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=77268.0

I modified the pattern to remove the back zipper and put snaps in one of the front seams instead.

Now for some pictures!

The snaps in the front seam

To disguise the snaps I actually sewed bottons over them on the front of the dress:

I forgot to take a picture of the back, but the straps actually cross in the back. I also didn't get any action shots, but I did get a picture of my attempt at styling my hair to go with my dress:

Hope you like it! Smiley

I love the dress.  It has a great shape of it and I love how you did the closures.

I love the look of the buttons, and it's a total bonus that it's a functional closing Smiley  Great job
