I have a slight addiction to playing with small canvases lately -- particularly the 4x4 size.  I wanted to share two of my latest projects!

Star canvas -- I glued miscellaneous shapes (wooden stars and metal spiral paperclips) to the canvas, added glue over that and then covered it with metal foil. Then alcohol inks came in to play!

side view:

True love canvas -- This canvas is mostly an experiment with paints, and my love for turquoise/red/pink together. I then used some stamps to add the border design and lettering, and used a black pen to outline details on the heart. The buttons are altered with alcohol inks and glued on.  (Not visible is a fuzzy pink yarn hanger that the canvas hangs by. Photo had to be taken on my kitchen counter. Cheesy)

Thanks for looking!

I am so glad! Smiley It is really fun to lower your expectations for an end product and just see where the paint takes you. So glad you checked out Balzer Designs too! She has inspired me so much lately!

These are beautiful!  I love the painting techniques you used on the second, and the found objects on the first!

What fabulously tiny works of art! I'd love to have an entire wall filled with these. They are lovely.

Thank you so much! They are definitely addicting to make -- kind of like the hooplas I think.  It wouldn't take long to fill up a wall!
