I realize that there are lots of them out there already!

Has there ever been one where you send your partner something from your own stash for them to create a crafted item for you? Maybe a ball of yarn you love the color of, but don't know what to make from.

Or maybe a "repoourpouse my stuff" swap. You could send your partner a shirt that you really like, but can't fit into anymore, and they make you something out of it?

Any thoughts?  Smiley

I'm almost always typing with one hand...

I like this idea.  The tough part would be the partnering - I'd suggest that in the sign-up questionnaire there be 2 questions:  1) What are you planning to send from your stash and 2)  What crafts can you do.  I can see it be a swap where there aren't necessarily partners - maybe you would send your item to one person but receive an item from another (so that everyone was matched up well.)  Hmmm......have to keep my eyes on this thread to see if this swap ever takes place.

I have a Rob Zombie shirt that I paid like forty bucks for, came home, washed it, and my washing machine promptly ate a huge hole in the sleeve. I'd totally be up for this if it meant that someone would be able to turn it into a tank top or something. I'd have to have an 18+ partner who wouldn't mind some dirty language though lol.

I remember reading a discussion about a similar swap,
but I don't think it got off the ground....
the only drawback is that everyone has to be willing to ship
twice (once to ship the item to be re-crafted, and again to get
the final product to its owner).

But it could be a very neat swap!
