Dimensions: 72" x 96" (twin)
Pattern: Natural Canasta Quilt from Oh, Fransson!
Fabric: 11 prints from Anna Maria Horner's 'Innocent Crush' line, one Amy Butler print, and six solids
Quilting: Free motion stipple

Can't say enough good things about this pattern. Keeping track of all the little strips was tricky, but worth it. I think it has the artsy, bohemian sort of look that I was going for.

This is my second finished quilt of 2012, though admittedly it's a UFO from 2011... it was supposed to be a "good luck at college" present, but I had some serious problems with my sewing machine that caused lengthy delays in quilting. I'm so glad to have put the final stitch in this one!

I'm shipping this quilt to my cousin tomorrow to (finally) brighten up her dorm room. I hope she likes it!

That is beautiful.  I will have to show that pattern to my husband.  I've been trying to find a pattern he likes to make a quilt for our bed.

This is super cute.  I still have a fat quarter set of Innocent Crush in my closet I need to for a project.  Smiley

This is an absolutely gorgeous quilt! Congrats on finishing it. I really like the binding that you used - the purples brings out all the colors!

How much time did it take from begininning to end with the free motion quilting? Thanks!

Thanks, katje! Unfortunately, this quilt took forever. I took my machine in to be serviced right before I started quilting it and had a terrible time getting my quilty mojo back. Technically, I started it in October and finished in January, but if I hadn't had problems with my machine I think I would have been done before Thanksgiving. Smiley

I'm looking to send my Step-Sister's Choice quilt to a new home.  If you're interested in swapping for fabric/scrapbooking supplies, send me a PM.
