My heels were begging to be spiced up for a while now, and I finally decided what to do with them.
Two base coats of a frosty mint nail polish, and then 2 coats of a super glittery polish did the trick!

While the glitter was tacky I make sure all the pieces were laying flat with my finger, now it's super smooth and doesn't fall off like I imagine the mod podge/glitter would. (I also used a polish with hex glitter, which is super thin and isn't rough, that will also help it's staying power I do believe Smiley )

After just the first layers..

That looks good and seems like you covered all your possible problem areas, too.  Smiley Did you seal them?

I thought about it, but I think the nail polish will hold it's own fairly well. You could probably top coat it, but I don't want to waste my good polish on my shoes Tongue. I'm on the hunt for a good non yellowing sealer (the one I had said it wouldn't yellow and it still did :/), maybe when I find one I'll give it a spray just in case.

How are they holding up? The idea really is attractive.
