Here is the first ever dress I made!!!!!!!!  I used an old Ralph Lauren bedsheet and New Look pattern 6048. It was really easy to follow but I did have lots of help from a friend.

Let me know what you think?

I am breathing in

Until I had actually finished the dress, I didn't realise it said RL all over it

I did pleats

I have pockets

Any tips about how to make it better let me know xxxxx

Great job and congrats on your first dress!  Grin It looks excellent on you.

I can't tell by your last picture, but do you have a hook and eye installed at the top of your zipper?  If not, I would suggest one...it's useful for a couple reasons...it closes off the top neatly and it saves extra strain on the top of your zipper when it might want to pull open with no support above it.  Great fabric to  Grin

Thank you!

@Midnight sun, there should be a hook and eye at the top but I was too excited/lazy to put it on. But I will now!

Awesome dress!

My advice (if you don't do these already):
Make a sloper (basic fitting block) and learn to modify commercial patterns
Iron your work
