Back in 2009 I was asked to make an amigurumi of the Fallout 3 Bobblehead after finishing the bobblehead I showed my husband and he immediately wanted one Smiley I've had several other projects come up since December 2009 but I hadn't forgotten his request... while I was hoping to get his bobblehead done by his birthday in July, July came and went without me starting a stitch on it...

December came and I was determined to have it done for him by Christmas. Between Christmas shopping, baking and the usual errands I worked on the bobblehead and knew that though my husband really liked the original work, that I could be more detailed and really wow him Smiley. I would be more detailed... oh yes.

I used oval safety eyes instead of circular ones I had on the previous bobblehead and gave great care to the shape of his hair and hands. Initially writing down the pattern as I went, for now its still impossible for his hair to be captured by writing it in a pattern... pattern writing aside I was able to bring this guy to life in time for Christmas Smiley (yay!) and recently snagged the bobble from his desk long enough to take a few pics to share with you! Smiley I hope you like him!! Smiley

Your Pip Boy is fantastic, Fallout 3 is one of my all time favorite video games and seeing this made me want to go back and play it again since I'm unfortunately stuck at a point in Fallout New Vegas.

Nice work!

thank ya JellyBaby! Smiley I hope you get unstuck! Wink I haven't played the game myself but when the mister plays it I see bits and pieces. I'm normally running around the house busy with something or another Smiley I've played call of duty once upon a time. That was fun on pvp! I otherwise stick to puzzle games Smiley I can appreciate the RPG's though - cause when I can I'll sit and watch the mister play I work on my knitting/crocheting things... RPG games are like one LONG movie Smiley Lol
