Very cute apron! (She has that doll haha)  I've looked at your other cosplay's.  How are you making the fabric prints match exactly?  So far the only idea I had for Abby's dress was patchwork, but I don't think that will look good.  So, any advice or ideas would help me.  As far as the patten, I'm fairly lucky with that, since I don't have to do much form fitting on a 4 year old body lol.
Thanks Smiley First I'm finding as much reference online of the garments as possible. Then I draw a vector textile pattern in Illustrator. That is what takes a LONG time! After that it depends on what kind of garment and how detailed the pattern are. For the apron I'm working on I used my YUDU to make a silk screen and screened the pattern on the fabric.

I have no idea what any of that is, so I just might have to find a friend who is more skilled than I am.  :/  Or do a lot of research.

I would definitely do this! My husband and I made a deal I get a doll everytime he gets something for his car or motorcycle. I have a ton of dolls now and we no longer argue about him buying stuff. LOL! Cupid is in a box waiting for Valentines Day and that is killing me. I make clothes and stuff for them. Complete geek. The family jokes on me but I don't care. And thanks for those links BlueCheryFaerie! I have been making my own patterns.  Tongue

I would probably be down for this.  My step daughter is OBSSESSED with monster high, and in my quest to track it down... I've been sucked in.  I wouldn't know how to make any clothes for the dolls, but there's other items depending on if I'm crafting for a child or adult.

SmashU - your costumes are fabulous!  We made a homemade draculaura costume 2 yrs ago at halloween because the official ones were sold out (and crummy quality if ya ask me...)  not as cool as yours, but still fun

A YUDU is a home silk screening unit. But sometimes I just freehand on butcher's paper and do a stencil, then just hand paint the pattern on the fabric with a paint brush. This is the technique I used to make my Toralei Stripe kerchief Smiley That might be a good option for you to experiment with.

Thanks.  I recently started doing some stenciling, so I'm imagining this would be similar to that.  Only I'd be painting all over the fabric.
