I started this type of afghan out of the Crochet Now! book, and the patterns in this book are all over the place. There are tons of errors, and because of that, all of my squares are coming out different sizes...so, I'm hoping someone has another book or online pattern to recommend? I really just want an afghan that each square is a different pattern/color, so it has a patchwork look. I suppose I could do this on my own, but I'm more of an "advanced beginner," so I don't feel comfortable doing that quite yet. :\

I have made this one twice in two different color schemes, and I love it!  63 Easy-To-Crochet Pattern Stitches  Leisure arts #555.  Amazon has it and probably walmart .  there is also 63 More Easy-To-Crochet Pattern Stitches which I own but haven't done yet.

Thid blog features a square of the day. The squares are really pretty, and the blog links to the patterns on Ravelry.

Don't be afraid of being a beginner. That's where we all started!
