For Christmas my 4 kids (6, 4, 2, and 8 months at the time) each painted a canvas for their grandma and grandpa. The older children used washable poster paint and brushes, and the baby used Crayola non toxic finger paint. She preferred to paint herself. Luckily, I managed to keep her from eating it.

I want to try this with kiddo in the next week or two http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=412436.0  Thinking I could fold the tubes to the shape of hearts and let him stamp paper to make Valentine cards.

this is a great thread.  meleriffic, I hope you included that picture in the present for grandma and grandpa.

My daughter will be 2 next month and I am always looking for craft ideas for her, she likes to move so doesn't stay interested for long but has recently started to love stickers (and loves to proudly bring a drawing home from day care saying "Me made that").

So what are your favourite toddler craft projects for a kid who still likes to put everything in her mouth?

When he was that age, I just went with it and crafted with edible things. Cheesy  Pudding finger painting (either on the table or on paper), cream cheese or peanut butter a tortilla and then use fruit to make faces on it, and cookie cutters with all sorts of things from fruit to cheese slices.
