I don't know about  you guys, but I always need bookmarks! I try to leave one in every book I've read, so they're always needed here! Is anyone up for a bookmark swap? Maybe like 3 to 5 minimum with a 3 week crafting time?

Or if not that if anyone was interested in doing a book swap, sending a couple used books and/or reading related items?

I'd be up to organize either way!

I'm not sure I'd be up to a book swap. I got hit pretty hard by the postage (international swapper here) the last reading swap when I sent books. But a reading related swap would be awesome!

The awesome part if we just did a bookmark swap (with the option of doing more, of course) would be shipping for the out of USers out there, but there's just so much that can be done in relation to reading...

I'm interested!  I'm not sure I'd be up for swapping books, but I'd be open to swapping one, with bookmarks.  Sounds fun, I always like the bookmark swaps,... So many options.

I don't know about sending actual books (kind of expensive), but a bookmark/reading related swap would be cool. Perhaps a "Favorite Book/Author/Series" Swap.

There have been several rounds of a bookmark swap here,
and they are always very popular & lots of fun!

(could check with the organizer to see if she is planning another round anytime soon~)

and then there has been a Book Lovers Swap:

and I am sure I saw another one (last fall, maybe?) that had a book theme....

just opening up more ideas to discuss...

I really enjoyed the book lovers swap we did last year. And yes, it does get expensive to mail books. No doubt about that.

You could set the limit of one book per swapper. Extra books would be up to individual partners, if they want to send extra.

I think I made an owl book cover, a book bag and sent some books to my partner. I also made her daughter a little book bag w/ Clifford the Big Red Dog on it.

It was a fun swap.

It was an awesome swap! There's so many options. I'm thinking maybe a reading related swap, with the option to send books if you wanted to, to make it easier on anyone who would want to join that's overseas.

I'd be up for that! I agree with the bookmarks vs. sending books, though- shipping's getting out of hand, lately. I've only ever done one other swap, but I love to make bookmarks- I'd be willing to "angel" on this, too, if needed. Keep us posted!  Smiley
