I can't believe I didn't post this here!  I've been moving for what seems like forever so I haven't had as much time for embroidery as I would have liked last year.  This project I did for my Hubby to wear at the Penn and Teller AFAN walk in Las Vegas.  His team had an Airship pyrate theme so he wanted something on the back of his long coat.  Course he only gave me 3 days notice!  I stayed up for 24 hrs straight finishing this in time for the walk. (whew!)  He got loads of comments  even from Penn and Teller!  Alas I only have the one picture and the jacket is in storage so I wasn't able to take any new ones.

I stitched this with 3 strands of floss for the satin stitch.  This is 14 x 11 inches so it was a big space to cover in satin stitch. I stitched it in one direction then went the other direction to cover any gaps (up and down then side to side) The chain stitching is done with the full six strands.  I used beads for the rivets and lg sequins to make the cogs a little more flashy.  I thnk if I had had mire time some of the cogs would have been filled in as well but overall I'm happy with how it turned out.  Thanks for looking! Grin
