I hope this is the right place to put these! I scored a whole bag of shells at value village a week ago and finally got around to making candles out of some of them (until I ran out of wax, haha). Im really pleased with how these look and plan to make more.

(This is also part of my 50 crafts challenge that I'm doing on my blog Smiley)

C&C welcome, thanks for looking!!

Very nice! I like this idea, simple and effective. I think they're beautiful.

Are these shells balanced? I would hate to have a shell full of hot liquid wax and have it tip over.

They're currently not, I taped them to the counter when I was filling them. My plans are either to have them in some kind of a long zen garden type dish with sand/tiny pebbles to hold them upright, or to epoxy a tinier shell upside-down to the bottom as a sort of stand. Or to sand the bottom down on the thicker shells where it wont go through all the way.. As you can tell, I havent really decided yet, but i think the sand idea will look the best Smiley

Ohhhh I love the sand idea. A beautiful little tray, fine sand and perhaps little stones and sea glass laying in the sand here and there? Like those gorgeous pieces that you find all nicely rounded and smooth from the waves.
That little arrangement would look stunning.

These are awesome! I have a bag of sea shells I picked of from a beach trip ages ago that I haven't brought myself to part with >.< I'll have to try this! And I second the idea of putting them in a little zen-y sand display! So pretty Smiley
