the bookmarks are so pretty and would look great peeking out of the top of a book!  I miss using bookmarks too with the advent of the e-reader....

The singeing is fun! You just let the fabric get close enough to melt, but not burn. Seeing this really wakes you up to the types of fabrics you wear.

The recipient was rather pleased, and she is older, so she still reads books. Smiley

I'm really enamored of the book marks myself!  No matter how many book marks I have, inevitably I end up using the flap on the dust jacket or one of those cards that falls out of magazines.  How do you keep track of them all?

Thank you T! Just a 4x8 pieces of fabric with interfacing. Then I added the flower, but you could embellish anyway you like.

Leave them in books, and forget about them. Then I am forced to make more. Smiley
