Covering a Headband - HELP!

Howdy Crafty Folks!

I need to know how to cover a headband. I've tried a few different ways with fabric and ribbon and maybe I'm just doing all wrong. This may not be the right forum to post this question, but I'm putting it out there -- any ideas for an easy way to cover a headband so it won't snag hair and will look nice?

Is it a headband with no teeth to grab onto the hair or with teeth?  If you want to cover one, maybe getting them without teeth is better, then you can wrap and glue ribbon on more easily.
