I'm looking for a pattern so that i can assimilate emily howard (of "little britain", for fancy dress). Has anyone seen a pattern for such a dress (or umbrella?!)

(for those of you who haven't seen it, emily howard is "the worlds worst transvestite")

she (he? she? whatever) is a pretty bad transvestite, I'd have to agree. now I'd like to see it.

anyhow, I haven't ever seen a pattern for clothing like that. but uhh... try the goodwill Cheesy I honestly see stuff like that all the time. or at dinky little thriftshops run by the humane society or something. you could make up your own patern.

More shameless quoting:

(Emily and Florence, "her" transvestive friend, are in a tearoom.)
Florence: I must powder my nose, Emily, dear.
Emily: Florence!
Florence: Oh, how silly of me, I nearly went into the mens'!
(They giggle.)
Emily: Don't forget to sit down when you piss!
(Silence.)

...David Walliams looks disturbingly hot in drag, doesn't he? Grin

Antimony & Lace has a tutorial for turning an umbrella into a parasol.
You could try looking for Gothic Lolita patterns or generally floofy dress patterns that you could adjust by adding lace trim or something.
