My little girl is due any day now so instead of doing all the things I should be doing like tidying and urm packing my hospital bag  Shocked, I've been testing out my basic embroidery skills to make a hoop for her nursery.

The buttons were all ones I had in my stash and I added the word Grow to the grass, since I was using Aida fabric it was easy for me to keep my stitches even, I usually am a bit lacksidaisical about that I admit, and I'm planning on adding her name, weight, date of birth etc underneath that when she does arrive.

Hope you like it, I should probably get off the pc and go pack for the hospital right?!  Wink

Fantastic and congratulations! Love the hoop - the colors look fantastic and it will look super sweet in baby's room!
Now, go pack your bag and enjoy the anticipation of meeting your newest family member!

Cute! I love the idea of adding her birthday/name etc.

My little boy is due any day now too! I've been doing the exact same as you too--I made him a little taggie toy and started on his quilt when I should have vacuumed and sorted laundry today.  Cheesy Though my hospital bag is packed, at least!

This is really lovely and given me a great idea of what to do with some vintage buttons I've been undecided on what to use them for  Smiley
