My middle child is 4 today!  And despite his request for any number of things to have on his cake, I chose a Robot, because I had really cool robot candles.  My piping skills are mediocre, but he loves it none the less!  And so do I.

oh!  It just occured to me that I should share that this is a gluten free cake!!  And would be refined sugar free, had it not been iced with buttercream icing. I shall link the recipe.

Tastes like cake, feels like cake, it's CAKE!  I was very impressed with it, and it's now my go to cake.  I've also alteredd it a few times, once to make it vanilla, and once to make it strawberry,  and if anyone is interested in the alterations, I'll be more then happy to post them!
