I made some earrings   Grin  The copper front piece was a plumbing pipe hangar.  I drilled it out and hammered it, then filed and sanded it to shape.  The silver back piece was a nickel.  I drilled it then did the same hammering, filing, and sanding.  They were buffed with a little bit of steel wool.  I attached them to the earring hooks with some copper wire.
Thanks for checking them out Smiley

They're really cool.  I love the colour and the rounded shape.

the shape and mix of metals make for cool jewelry!  I really like the holes in the copper too....is the back a nickel coin?  I'm curious as to how you got it so flat-just hammering? Smiley

Thank you much!!
Yes, the back is a nickel coin.  I just hammered it a whole bunch on a little old metal vise we have, not using it as a vise, just on it's side which is a nice machined flat cast surface.  I had to kind of hammer it elongated, stretching it longer one way than the other, as it is not much wider than the original nickel, but a bit longer.    Smiley

These are really cool and unique.

Thanks!!  Smiley

The whole project took a couple hours, it wasn't too much hammering, but I am used to working on old rusty cars, so I have a skewed perspective on that  Cheesy

These are lovely and make me wish I had holes in my ears.

Thanks!!  Smiley
