Digging the Portal stuff!

I can't wait to get started on this swap. I have been taking an extended vacation from my needed and hoops. It's time to get back to work.

I'm curious - how do you all hang your hoops? just a plain ol' nail in the wall?

I use straight pins! I have a few that have push pins but mostly straight pins.

I've got a board of tretex or whatever it's called (let's just call it a noteboard) that I dressed in fabric to sort of match the wallpaper, and I just push pins in that. The wall itself is concrete, so it doesn't lend itself for easy decorating! The big M hoop is covering the two huge screws that go straight through the board and into the wall Cheesy

Melladh, what does "rude & not ginger" mean?

It's from Doctor Who, when the 9th doctor has sort of just woken up from regenerating into the 10th doctor (new body, new mind, same memories, same doctor). Sort of in the middle of an alien invasion where everyone's been trying to convince the bad guys not to kill everyone, he wakes up and starts chatting. Cheesy It's all very Doctor Who.

...oh, if it wasn't clear, I'm rarely completely serious. Smiley

My hoopla wall is in my bedroom at the moment, but I think I'll be moving it into the dining room so I can get a good picture and post it here.Cheesy

Wow, I'm impressed at everyone's hoopla walls. I don't have one, I'll just have to start one! Last cross-stitch I did for myself (I normally give away what I stitch Tongue), I put it in a frame... but I love the simplicity of using the hoop as a frame! Cheesy

I can't wait for this to start. I'm kinda nervous and excited, I've only been cross stitching for a couple months and don't even have any hoops on my wall yet XB. I hope I can make something that my partner will like.
