I love this pattern, and when I need to make a hat for Lily in a hurry its usually my go to. Today I told her its time to pick out a new pattern, but she picked this hat again, so I made it again. It works up for me in under an hour, for a fast crocheter probably half that time.
Its super simple, and Lily has had a few hats in this pattern, but since she has grown so much this year, I did row 6 5x instead of 3x like the pattern calls for. Lily is 4, but about the size of a 6/7, so I was thinking her head might be bigger than the average 4 y/o as well. I probably could've gotten away with doing row 6 4x though.

the yarn is Hobby Lobby brand, I love their acrylic yarn. I find it to be one of the few really affordable acrylics that are also super soft.

This is gorgeous!  It's no wonder she picked it again!

I love the bow detail on this hat! It's so nice. I bet I could even manage to finish this with my basic crochet skills.
