Hmm, I am definitely tempted by this swap! I do have a question for fellow participants, though - the only crafts I know are quilting and sewing, so would people be okay with things like placemats/mini quilts/cloth napkins/other fabric items? I saw some placemats among the list of suggestions, so it seems like these sorts of things would be okay.

I think that's amazing, I'm jealous of people who sew and use yarn!  Cheesy I couldn't use placemats or napkins myself, but I'd proudly hang a mini quilt, and be delighted with  things like pillowcases and hand towels, or a mug rug would be wonderful.
There's so many fabric options!
And I think paper craft sounds awesome, too, love that stuff! Also a ton of possibilities, both useful and decorative.
I have no idea *what* I'll be making for this. Depends where my partner's wants and my skills overlap, but I'm getting ideas now.
Decorated  boxes. Steampunk wind chimes. Or steampunked switch plate covers to add a tiny bit of fun to a wall. Things for tea, like a tea storage box and a cup or mug to go with. Desk accessories. Do any of these possibilities sound appealing at all? I'm just brainstorming a bit here. I won't really know what to do until after I've done my stalking.
Hmm...I just got an idea for something to hang on the wall. I'm no knickertwist or cackle (sigh), but if I can just find a perfect frame or shadowbox...*scurries off to plot* Yeah, I'm keeping mystery idea to myself for a while, but if my partner wants a silly decor thingy she gets one, and it's something that I want to make one of for myself, too.

I will do personal swaps. Cheesy
I have a few skeins of Caron Simply Soft I would love to supply swap with anyone for other types of yarn, I am finding the yarn a tad hard to work with.

This is so the swap I've been waiting for! Now to decide if I can afford to join, or if I'll talk myself out of it Tongue

In the last steampunk swap I go some awsome stuff for the home. I used it to dress up my laundry room.

I need to find a store around here that sell the Steampunk Debutat paper so I can add to the laundry room.

Fiiiiiiiine. I'm in! Haha I kept going back to this topic daily and after surprise-finishing of my other swap tonight (2 days early! So unusual!) I am succumbing to my steampunky love and sending my questionnaire directly after typing this.
So. Excited.

Extra Inspiration: the Epbot blog (by the lady behind Cakewrecks, no less) has some awesome Steampunk content, including this step-by-step guide to a diy ray gun: http://www.epbot.com/2011/10/birth-of-ray-gun.html

I also really loved their various steampunk decorations posts leading up to Christmas.

Oh, I love that site! You're reminding me I haven't been there in awhile. And I just found a book at my library called Hardware Style. Not really steampunk, but some of the ideas inside would work.

Okay, so it looks like people would be interested in sewing/quilted crafts...and I did just finish my latest baby quilt...and the next baby who needs a quilt isn't due until June...so, yeah, I'm in.
