I knit a sweater, using this tutorial! http://knitting-up-a-storm.blogspot.com/2007/04/5-in-paris.html

It's such an easy sweater! It's my second completed one, but I have to take in the collar of my first, so no pictures of it yet Wink

Blurry picture taken in a mirror in a hall in my dorm, ha! I'm really proud of how it came out Smiley

I used simply soft, took about one and a half skeins of each color.
The tutorial doesn't tell you how to do long sleeves, but I just picked up 8 stitches and began knitting in the round, decreasing one every 7 rows for about half the sleeve length. Also, I did a bit of the 'optional side shaping' you see later in the pattern

A little closer on the stripes...

Again, this pattern is SO easy and pretty, if you have ever wanted to try sweaters and were intimidated, I suggest starting here! This only took about 5 days to make!
I really want to make V-Neck sweaters, so if anyone knows any good tutorials or patterns please link me!

I love the shape and design of that jumper. It could be either off the shoulder or on, wonderful.

This is beautiful, you did a great job.  Maybe one day I'll learn to knit, but I don't see it in my foreseeable future.  It could happen though.

Great job! What a coincidence, I totally just ravelled this yesterday. You've inspired me to move it up in my queue. It looks awesome, and really nice on you. I love the colors too.

I've never tried sewing a sweater before, but this is so cute, I may have to give it a try. Great job, and very cute.

I'm actually in the middle of knitting my own. You've inspired me to try! I'm amazed at how far along I've gotten, in fact I'm actually getting close to the ribbing on the bottom. I'm still trying to decide if I want long sleeves or not, because it's going to be off the shoulder and my shoulder's would be cold if I wore it in colder weather. Maybe it will be a bonfire sweater with shorter sleeves.

I decided against stripes, because I have 2 things of black yarn and only 1 of red. The ribbing is red. Plus stripes make me look fat haha!
