Recently while my girlfriends and I were on a Saturday yard sale adventure.  My friend found this new wedding themed photo matte and frame for practically a steal.  It had one little nick in the wood frame on the front.  Her son was married in October and she asked me to paint it to coordinate with the wedding party colors which were royal blue, black and white.  We talked about distressing it because of the flaw in the frame.  I started on the back and used several distress techniques.  I really wasn't achieving the look I was going for.  I filled in the distressed areas with wood putty, sanded it thoroughly and started over.
Luckily I found the Distress Crackle Paint brand at my local craft store.  I knew nothing about this paint and didn't know the best way to apply it...  After doing a little research on the internet, I was hooked.

That's a great job on the frame.
